Variant edition MIDNITE MASQUERADER #1 (2000) 8 1/2 x 11, 48 pages plus an 18 page Mike Zeck cover folio attached to the inside back cover (a couple of the covers are repeated). Excellent condition. Comic book fanzine. Cover by Steve Rude. 18 pages devoted to the full text and analysis of the detailed Alan Moore series outline for TWILIGHT OF THE SUPERHEROES which would have been a massive maxi-series written by Alan Moore for DC in 1986. But then Alan had a falling out with DC when he couldn't get them to revert the rights to WATCHMEN to him. This issue also has scans of unused covers, an article on Jack Kirby's return to Marvel in the 1970s and more. Last inside page reprints a letter posted by Stan Lee on STAN LEE MEDIA giving what he believed was proper credit to Steve Ditko as co-creator of Spider-Man. Plus the Mike Zeck folio attached to the inside back cover. I had another copy of this which did not include the Zeck folio and I was unaware that there was a variant.
