INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER. SkyPoint Ventures seeks an innovative Industrial Designer to assist startups in Flint, Michigan. The 100K IDEAS Program facilitates the commercialization of innovative products, services, and technologies by identifying funding sources and potential partners as well as providing input on the development, design, marketing, and sales of client products. RESPONSIBILITIES Develop the concepts for client product ideas, taking into consideration the function of the product, costs, and the use of the product. Create sketches and drawings of ideas and concepts Work with client to create, modify and improve CAD drawings and prototypes Explore and communicate use case examples and alternative approaches Determine whether a design is practical by assessing safety and purpose Research and suggest materials, colors and textures Interact, update and collaborate with other teammates Research materials and production costs to estimate variable costs
