Responsibilities Plan and lay out work from blueprints, sketches, drawings, specifications, and work orders in the construction and maintenance of installation facilities. Develop patterns, cut, form, join, assemble, and install items and systems which have combined straight and curved edges or irregular curves, angles, and planes. Use a variety of welding processes such as oxyacetylene, electrode arc, submerged arc, shielded metal arc welding, gas metal arc welding, gas tungsten arc welding, metal spray arc, and spot and stud welding to join common metals and alloys. Work on projects such as building frames, rafters, concrete forms, walls, staircases, door and window frames, interior and exterior trim, and other miscellaneous items. Utilize safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations. Operate and maintain complex hand and power tools and equipment.Travel Required
