King Edward VIII Coronation plate - $5 - (Cathedral City, CA)

King Edward VIII Coronation plate. This coronation never tookplace because the King abdicated. White plate orange coloredtrim. The top of the plate shows a sepia portrait of the king inan oval cartouche topped with a crown and surrounded by flags.The bottom of the plates shows the letters ER in a round cartouchetopped with a crown. Measures: 6 inches in diameter. No maker'smark. Bone china. Good condition. There is a scrape on the Kingsface and the bottom decoration was not affixed in a straight position.There is also a very small "bump" in the middle of the plate that occured during the firing of the plate.
